Product Description
The ANV Knives Ultem BB A100-027 is a sturdy EDC pocket knife, crafted in the Czech Republic by Acta Non Verba Knives. Its dimensions make it ideal for daily use.
The Drop Point blade with a plain edge is constructed from Sleipner tool steel, which resembles an enhanced version of D2 steel. On a molecular level, the steel's structure is much finer, enhancing its strength. It also offers superior edge retention.
The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for 'Diamond Like Carbon'. This is an extremely hard coating, even harder than the steel itself, making it highly scratch-resistant and protecting the blade from corrosion. Although DLC is very hard, it is also a thin layer, so signs of use will eventually appear.
The knife can be easily opened with one hand thanks to the ANV button, a combination of a pin and a hole in the blade. At the center of the opening button is a Lumidot (reflective point) made of Swiss Super-LumiNova, which glows when exposed to light in the dark. Once opened, the blade is secured by an A-lock.
The handle is made from extremely lightweight and durable ULTEM composite material. Ultem is a high-quality thermoplastic known for its exceptional strength, durability, and thermal resistance. It is primarily recognized for its practical applications in the aerospace industry, but it has recently become a popular choice in the pocket knife industry.
It features a repositionable deep carry clip (a pocket clip for securing the knife deep in your pocket).
