Product Description
The tactical knife ANV Knives M41 Grifus is more than just a robust tactical tool: it is a tribute to the resilience and dedication of the Czech Army's 41st Motorised Battalion. This knife was developed in collaboration with members of this battalion.
They designed this versatile knife to meet the rigorous demands of both military missions and challenging outdoor activities, providing essential survival functions for any environment. The battalion, which has participated in missions in Sub-Saharan Africa and Afghanistan, will now carry the M41 GRIFUS as its standard service knife for future deployments and operations.
The fixed Clip Point blade is crafted from Elmax steel, known for its toughness, ease of sharpening, and excellent edge retention. The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. This is an extremely hard coating, even harder than the steel itself, making it highly scratch-resistant and providing protection against corrosion. Although DLC is very hard, it is also a thin layer, so signs of use will eventually appear.
The handle is made from black micarta, a composite material consisting of fabric and synthetic resin. Upon close inspection, you can notice a subtle texture on the surface, which sometimes resembles wood. This material is strong, stable, and offers a very secure grip.
It comes with a Kydex sheath, a durable plastic that will protect the steel. However, it is important to keep a Kydex sheath clean on the inside. Regularly rinse it with water to prevent dirt from accumulating inside, which could scratch the blade.
