Product Description
Gurkha Kukri knives with significantly downward curved blades are commonly associated with Gurkha warriors from Nepal, who have gained fame as fierce and courageous fighters in the service of the British Empire. The Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri was inspired by these warriors and Dr. Maung Gyi, the chief instructor of the American Bando Association, and a renowned martial artist with extensive knowledge and skills. In the hands of this martial arts master, the Kukri is not just a cutting weapon, but also a stabbing, slicing, and striking weapon. The Kukri can function as a hammer and deliver deadly blows in self-defense. The Cold Steel version has a narrower and longer blade to better suit martial arts techniques.
The blade is made of premium CPM 3V steel. The finger guard separating the blade from the handle protects the fingers from slipping onto the blade edge. The ergonomically shaped handle is based on traditional designs and is made of Kray-Ex material. There is a prominent lanyard hole at the end of the handle.
The knife comes with a sheath made of durable Secure-Ex material.
