The Controller tool was designed in collaboration with experienced fishermen, ensuring its efficiency. The long blade is made of thin 9Cr18MoV steel, which is ideal for filleting fish. The slightly flexible blade makes handling easier. The 9Cr18MoV steel is known for its robustness, sharpness, and corrosion resistance. The smooth blade surface allows for easy cleaning and maintenance.
This variant of the Controller belongs to the Salt collection, created by Gerber for fishermen. The characteristic blue handle identifies the knives from this collection. Additionally, the blade has been treated with SALT Rx technology, reducing the risk of corrosion and ensuring a longer tool lifespan.
The handle of the Gerber Controller knife has been thoughtfully improved. The combination of materials, such as thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and glass-reinforced nylon (FRN), provides a reliable grip even in wet conditions. The textured handle surface, together with finger grooves, offers stability during handling and ensures a firm grip while filleting.
