Gerber Truss is a durable and versatile tool with 17 different functions, which allows it to be used for various tasks. Gerber has specially focused on reducing the weight of the Truss model. Despite its 235 grams, the Truss is lighter than most similar models and yet provides more functionalities. Compared to its predecessor, the Suspension, the Truss includes 5 additional tools! Among these newly added functions, you can find wire cutters, a medium flathead screwdriver, a ruler, and a file. All tools are securely locked when opened using a locking mechanism in the handle, ensuring safe use.
The pliers are spring-loaded, using a butterfly mechanism that automatically opens the jaws of the pliers. This is an innovative feature compared to many multitools that require manual opening of the pliers. This tool, therefore, provides convenience during work. The tip of the pliers is small enough for precise details, such as bending fishing hooks or removing splinters. The tip has been enhanced with fine grooves for better grip. The tip of the pliers is rounded, allowing for easier manipulation in confined spaces and wire bending.
Truss is supplied with a sturdy nylon sheath, suitable for vertical and horizontal belt carry, allowing quick and easy access to the tool. This sheath is also compatible with the MOLLE system, which means you can attach it to a vest or backpack with MOLLE panels.
