The handle of the children's folding knife Opinel is made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide, which guarantees high resistance to impacts, water, and extreme temperatures. At the end of the handle, there is a whistle that has a range of almost 300 meters in open space.
My first OPINEL knives are suitable as a first knife for children older than 7 years. The rounded blade is equally sharp as in standard knives, so you need to be careful to prevent children from cutting themselves while handling it.
The knife is equipped with a safety lock ViroBloc to prevent accidental closing. The polished stainless steel 12C27M is highly resistant to corrosion and virtually maintenance-free. After use, simply rinse and dry the knife. Occasionally, it is beneficial to lubricate the blade with a drop of kitchen oil or knife oil.
