Product Description
Hard, high-quality lock, carbon-rich blade. These three attributes create one of Spyderco's strongest knives to date. Patented by Spyderco, the Manix 2 features a ball bearing lock. It is a hardened, freely floating ball bearing that is contained in a typical hi-tech polymer cage. The round ball bearing allows the lock to self-engage smoothly and securely. The strength of the Ball Bearing Lock, which evolves over time, withstands hard work with a secure, versatile, and comfortable grip. The ergonomics in this design are unique. The blade is made of CTS BD-1N steel. It is flat with aggressive thumb jimping for good thumb support during cutting. The blade opens through a large 14mm round hole by Spyderco. The handle is made of black FRCP material. This knife will not slip out of your hands and works well with gloves on. The pocket clip is two-position and simple. The knife also has a large lanyard hole or strap.
The blade is made of Carpenter's BD-1N steel. BD-1N is gaining attention from enthusiastic knife enthusiasts for its high carbon and chromium content, which is resistant to rust and provides long-lasting edge retention.
