Spyderco C41PBBK5 Native 5 Lightweight Black, Black Blade
After thorough internal blade performance testing, Spyderco has decided to change the blade steel of the Native 5 model from CPM-S35VN steel to CPM-S30V steel, so some versions of the Native 5 will have different steels. This change also applies to the materials used to make the G10 and FRN handles. Most versions of the Native 5 model will be equipped with G-10 material.
The knife blade is made of CPM-S35VN steel, with a black, matte coating. It is full flat ground, which helps with greater cutting performance. It opens with a round hole in the blade, which is characteristic of Spyderco. The blade locks back with a back lock mechanism. The handle is made of black FRN material. It is slightly contoured with a subtle textured finish. To enhance strength, the liners are reinforced with embedded steel inserts. The pocket clip is stainless steel, black in color, and four-position adjustable, meaning it can be attached in four different ways. There is a lanyard hole on the handle.
