Weapons have accompanied humanity since ever, they were used to obtain food, defense and attack, the first ones were cold weapons and, of course, the sword, which appeared in various forms in ancient advanced civilizations. The classic sword with a straight blade sharpened on both sides appeared later, had different lengths and weights, was simple or decorated, designed for stabbing, chopping and cutting. He accompanied warriors and rulers, fulfilled the symbolism of strength and power, but his era began to decline with the development of firearms.

The sword has not completely fallen into oblivion, nowadays it fulfills a decorative function and can also be used among historical fencing enthusiasts.
