Norman desire for battle, adventure, and treasures can undoubtedly be traced back to their Viking ancestors, much like their iconic swords. With these swords, they conquered or plundered many countries including the British Isles, France, the Mediterranean, and the shores of Russian rivers.
Now, Cold Steel is pleased to offer you their version of this famous sword. Just like the originals, it features a long, wide blade with sharp edges and a broad tip.
The blade is made of high carbon steel (1055) to keep it both lightweight and strong. It is also equipped with a fuller that runs almost all the way from the hilt to the tip. The handle of the Norman sword resembles many preserved originals with its distinctive guard, leather and wood grip, and modified "extended hat" pommel. This pommel shape was specifically chosen as it provides more room for the hand while balancing the blade and can also serve as a weapon itself.
The sword comes with a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard and steel fittings.
