Product Description
The Roman Gladius is possibly the most famous ancient weapon. Its simple and long blade with a double edge, which had a long point, made it an ideal stabbing weapon with excellent penetration that could overcome the armor of its time. Cold Steel's interpretation is not a reproduction of a specific ancient Gladius, but it is a collection of the main characteristics of this venerable sword. For example, the blade has a traditional shape, but unlike the ancient version, it is made of high carbon steel. It is fully sharpened on both sides and has a fine mirrored shine. The point is long but strong enough to resist bending or breaking. It also has a rosewood handle, carved and decorated in a classic style. The wooden scabbard is covered with black leather and highlighted with solid brass fittings. The Cold Steel Gladius is undeniably an exemplary piece, just like all their swords, it is fully functional and ready for battle.
